Charli XCX Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Mockumentary Preview

The Grammy-winning artist is getting ready for a substantial film onslaught in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.

In the film, the artist portrays what she describes as a twisted version of her own persona.

It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, the performer stated.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s not a tour documentary, but the idea stemmed from the demand to produce one.

A Glimpse into The Project

The debut trailer, released on this week, blends authentic footage from her recent tour with imagined backstage scenes.

The mockumentary is directed and co-written by the director, who shared that the narrative revolves around a scenario where the singer took completely different paths in the marketing of her hugely successful record Brat.
