Brooklyn Earick Rules Out Tottenham Hotspur Acquisition Offer Post-Initial Contact

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The former chairman oversaw Tottenham's transition to the state-of-the-art venue in the year 2019.

American tech entrepreneur Earick has rejected making a formal takeover bid for Tottenham.

The club had before “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a investment group spearheaded by Brooklyn Earick last month and stated the organization was off the market.

But British acquisition regulations stipulated that, following an initial approach rejected, the interested parties needed to make an offer by 24 October or declare they would refrain.

Verification of the choice was issued in a announcement released by Spurs to the London Stock Exchange, confirming the club is “not in an acquisition window.”

Earick posted an snapshot of the announcement on digital channels, remarking: “It's been a privilege discussing with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's representatives over the past few months.

“I have deep admiration for the organization, its executives, and its fans, and desire nothing but success.”

Spurs' leadership expressed gratitude to the syndicate for its “constructive approach” in discussions and for “respecting the firm stance” of the proprietors that the club is unavailable.

Earick is a ex-disc jockey who also served in space technology for NASA before founding his technology firm, which concentrates on innovation, media, sports and recreation.

Earick's proposal was the third approach rejected by the team's directors since the unexpected exit of executive chairman Daniel Levy in last month.

On 8 September, the organization turned down offers from previous club stakeholder Staveley's PCP International Finance Limited and a syndicate spearheaded by Dr Roger Kennedy and Ng through the holding company.

Levy and his family own about 30% of Enic Holdings – which has an almost 87% shareholding in Tottenham.

He was the English top flight's longest-serving chairman and is believed to have received more than £50m during his long tenure in the position.

However he was also the target of regular protests by Tottenham supporters, notably last season as domestic league results proved unsatisfactory.

Spurs claimed their major honor in 17 years when they overcame Manchester United in May's European final.
